R key is Randomly capital all the time, Right shift key bRings up weatheR etc.

Hello,

Something veRy peculiaR happened to my mac Recently. Suddenly it cRashed and then when i tuRned it back on eveRything is noRmal except my R key is capital whetheR i hold shift oR not and my Right shift key bRings up weatheR, calculatoR, calendaR and clock every time i pRess it. Any suggestions?

It sounds like you've now got the wrong country setting for the Keyboard

Check System Preferences > Keyboard > Input Sources (OS X 9)

I suppose I should mention I'm using OS X 10.6.8

To turn on the input source for a language:

1. Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, click Language & Text, and then click Input Sources.
   
   
   
   
2. Select the checkbox next to the input source you want to use.
   
   
   
3. Select the “Show Input menu in menu bar” checkbox.
