I had a problem with my brand new PowerBook, in that it would not recognize or play a Windows MediaPlayer 9 format .wmv
After several days of struggle, I was able to finally play .wmv files after purchasing "extra" software... Flip4mac, that apparently added a plug-in to QuickTime.
Does Apple or Quicktime provide (for free) the necessary plug-in?
It seems to me that they should have included it with my computer as it was delivered.
