Problems with new version of Pages under Mavericks

The new version of Pages causes me a lot of trivial problems: How do you insert a new own-created template into an existing template ?? - It seems that a lot of classic functions are missing in the new version of Pages. Also creating new pages in an existing template is rather complicated.
I'll be very pleased to receive competent answers...

To my knowledge all the functionality has returned to Pages with this latest version.

To Insert a Page Break in: Inset Menu > Page Break or use the Insert Button on the Toolbar (Same as before)
if the document is in layup mode them it's called Page.

Template Creation and editing is advanced.
The Tools you need are Format menu > Advanced
and Arrange menu > Make Section Masters Editable.
