Have an Imac with 2.7 intel core, running safari 10.7.5 all of a sudden after 2 years, opens up, will not fully engage, and the ball keeps spinning. Have 2 other Macs running fine, tried everything, shut down router, modem, computers, nothing. Any ideas ?

Hello and welcome.

It could be several things.

-Do any other applications cause the same issue?
-Have you tried other browsers?

You could do a Spotlight search for conduit and/or CTLoader. If it finds files with either of those in the name, let me know.

Hi,

is Safari a browser ?
Yes.
First thing I would do is use disk utility and repair permissions. Also open Safari hover mouse over Safari in menu bar and reset.

where do i find disk utility ?

Hi, try either of these:

  • MacintoshHD ~> Applications ~> Utilities ~> Disc Utility
  • Or in Finder press & hold key combination Shift + Command (⌘)+ U to launch the Utilities folder
  • Or in Finder press Command + Shift to launch Spotlight (upper right of screen) & type Disk Utility and click on the highlighted entry in the search results.
