Preview: WHERE FROM data showing

Hi all,

In Mac preview, when you click on more info, the first field reads

Where from:

And following is the webpage I just used to edit a photo. The next post below this one has a photo to demonstrate.

I cannot see this when looking at the 'more info' on the webpages dedicated to inspecting the EXIF info of a photo.

But you can see it in Preview.

So I am wondering if anyone I email this to will be able to access this specific information? I don't want them to be able to.

But need to be sure before I go ahead and send the photo.

Anyone know?

If it's embedded in the EXIF data of the photo, then yes anyone can see it. I use Preview or other tools to remove EXIF data from photos I post anywhere, mainly because I am a security professional and also concerned about privacy. I am running Monterey so can't speak to older versions of Preview on this capability though.
