preview issues with yosemite and iPhoto

Since going to Yosemite and updating iPhoto I am unable to change the resolution of photos in preview as I have always done in the past. Works for older photos that are not brought in via newer iPhoto. Looking for solutions.

Did you download and install the latest version of Yosemite, 10.10.2, that came out a couple of days ago? If not, here is a link to download it (you must have 10.10.1 to update to 10.10.2):
