ppapi plug-in

due to flash recent problems i checked flash in sys pref and found ppapi asking if i want to allow plung- in ......what does it do and would it make for more secure use of flash and the i mac ??

Hi,

As you know both NPAPI and PPAPI are types of browser plug-ins supported by Flash Player for various browsers, and until recently the PPAPI version of Flash Player was just a built-in part of the Chrome browser. And it's fine to have both NPAPI and PPAPI plug-ins installed on your system, as I believe a modification to the UI was made.

The setup you have now should work with Safari, Firefox and Opera not sure about chrome as I have never used it. You can check that here.
