possibly screen resolution?

I am not sure what happened....but all of the sudden I cannot see the edges of my screen...the menu bar disappears, the screen widens and my dock disappears as well...I can only see the edges if I hover over it with my mouse...I tried changing the screen resolution to small and it still does the same thing...the edges will still be cut off and I have to hover over to see them....please someone help!

Sounds like you have zoomed in accidentally.

Try the following:

-Hold Option-Command and then press the - key a few times until it zooms back out.
