picture in Finder question

I took a picture with my Iphone. When I loaded them to my macbook, the pic shows up in finder as a document. How can I move it to Iphoto so I can attach it to email? thanks Don

If you had opened iPhoto while the iPhone was plugged in you can import straight from there.

If they are on your desktop select the photos and drag and drop them into the iPhoto Icon in the Dock, or into the album you want them in.

Hi,

Also to add to Kaveman and possibly for future use, why not turn on photo stream. This way any new photos you take on one device will be automatically sent to your others. IE iPhone to iPad and Mac etc. they will appier in the respective devices photo stream.
Obviously you have to turn photo stream on in iPhoto > iPhone > iPad to sync all.
