Photoshop quits unexpectedly when opening

I have a MacBook Pro with OS X 10.5.8
suddenly one day when I open CS v8.0 it quits. Image ready has an error code 1407.
Any ideas for a fix? I have tried reinstalling Photoshop.

Both programs still work fine on my G5, OS X 10.4.11
