My G4 died. So I bought a nice new G5 on ebay, and two IDE to USB2 cases and attached my old drives to the G5. They show up on the desktop, finder can explore them, and SOME of the programs run.
All of Adobe CS3 was on the G4 when I bought it, so I don't have the disks. When I try to run it, I get a message saying "Licensing for this product has expired".
Similarly, when I open Itunes it just shows me the screen with 'how to load media' links. I pointed it to my old user on old drive 1 in preferences/advanced/Itunes media location as "/Volumes/Untitled 1 1/Users/steve/Music/iTunes/iTunes Media/Music", but I guess I don't have the right location.
Can I fix both by booting from old drive 1? How do I do that?
I there a better / another way to fix these problems?
Thanks in advance,
Steve
