iPhoto > File > Import

iPhoto has the best books, I use them all the time. Fantastic quality and great price!

Hi,

I second iPhoto:), and if as you say you want the images printed by photobox which is an online service once you have saved / imported them into iPhoto just leave the DVD in the drive, log in to photobox and upload directly from the DVD.

I think they are doing a deal a present when you sign up you get about 40 prints free, but don't quote me.

Hi,

Are you talking about iPhoto or photobox, iPhoto is import.

Open up the dvd in finder (double-clicking the dvd icon on your desktop) then highlight & drag all 262 photos from the DVD finder window down onto the iPhoto icon in your Dock.

If there's no dvd icon on your desktop then go to Finder > Preferences > General > Show these items on the desktop > CD's, DVD's etc

Hi,

Also as my screen shot (1) shows there should be an import option under the iPhoto file menu, once clicked you will get a new window requesting device / area to upload from as screen shot (2) it shows a photo CD on mine.

Hi watt,

I'm very pleased to hear your success as images are so personal and important life reminders.:)
But am still mystified as to why you do not have the import to library option. Should possibly have mentioned drag and drop, but was side tracked with import.
Once again well done as moving from PC to Mac is a learning curve, but I hope you find it an enjoyable one.
