Passing variables between applescript frames

Hi!

I have an Automator project that consists of Applescript followed by Watch Me Do followed by Applescript. I need to pass a variable from one Applescript to the next. I am already using the clipboard to pass one variable. This seems trivial but my internet searching powers are exhausted!

Please help!
