I need a running header. Problem is I can't make the header long enough for title. It cuts off. I tried to format my own by removing the header, but I need the header at .5 inch margins and the rest of the doc at 1 inch. I'm new to Pages, but have spent a ton of time tinkering with this and can't figure it out.

Hello and welcome.

-Which version of OS X?
-Which version of Pages?
-Do you mean wide enough for the title?
-Have you tried changing the font/size?

I'm trying to work within the parameters of the APL style. It requires a 12 pt font. Yes, I suppose saying "wide enough" is more accurate. OS XVersion 10.10.5. Pages 5.6. I removed the header and self-formatted, but it's been an exercise in frustration.
Thanks for asking!

APA is a very specific format, and can be quite frustrating and difficult to manipulate.

-Did you download a Pages APA template to work from, or are you formatting it manually as you go?
-Can the title be shortened in any way, or can you use all three of the sections in the header somehow?

Thanks. I did go to the iWork community and the APA templates they have are 7 years old and they are not in the correct APA format. It didn't occur to me to go wide into the internet because I'm squeamish about downloads ....BUT, I did. Found one. Thanks for the nudge.
