Pages add page grayed out

Title of thread pretty much says it all.
I assume you can't add a page inside a thread.
Whenever I do get to add a page, the page is at the end of the doc (wp) and part of a section, so I can't even drag the new page to where I want it to be.
How can I add a page after a thread?

A thread is a series of linked text boxes.

All I can suggest is to click on the page to get the cursor and press Return until it goes onto a new page.

Select 'Document' (top right) then select 'Section', 'Create a new section', 'After this section'
