Outlook problem on Mavericks

Hello everyone

Recently I migrated to a new macbook pro (Mavericks) from my existing macbook pro (Snow leopard).

I have Microsoft Outlook 2011. It migrated well with all data.

Problems:
1. The email address dropdown does not open when I'm composing a new email
2. When I view the email of 1 particular message folder, the outlook says 'Database Error. Need to rebuild the database"
I have rebuilt the database atleast 10 times, but this problem persists!

Any help will be much appreciated.

Hello and welcome.

This may be a difficult issue to rectify here. I would suggest also finding a Microsoft support forum to post your issue in.

That being said...

-Have you run and applied any/all updates using the Microsoft AutoUpdate app?
-Are you able to see the emails in the corrupted folder at all? If so, you could create a new folder and move them, then delete the offending folder.
