Dear all,
I normally use FInder in the 'list' mode and the columns after each item foliow in a haphazard order. I know I can change the order of those columns each time I open Finder, but I would like them to appear in a prescribed order first, e.g. first 'date modified', then 'date last opened', etc. etc. I did not find something like Finder Preferences. What could I do?

Thanks in advance, Dirk

Hello,

Finder can only order things in list mode using a single sort order, unlike a spreadsheet, where you can sort by multiple sort settings. You can make the sort setting the default, by using the View > View Options from the menu bar, and clicking Use as Defaults.

Hope that helps,

C
