Had a Toast crash. Had to force quit.
Tried later to install some SW that came with my new camera but the disc would not mount.
I used the disc utility to try to mount it but the utility barffed and quit responding. After a minute or two I forced it to quit.
Now I find that all 3 optical drives refuse to mount or even recognize any disc.
The 2 internal drives time out and spit them out.
The external is a LaCie firewire. I've got a hard time believing they all died at once.
They all show up in the profiler. What could affect them all like this??

Mirrored Drive Door dual G4 w/ apple CD/R WR, SuperDrive.
Full compliment of Ram. 3 HD's (250G,80G,60G) AirPort, DSL modem
Firewire LaCie DVD /CD.

Run Disk Utility (Applications > Utilities > Disk Utility). Open the application, select the mounted volume for your hard drive and click "repair disk permissions." If that does not work, then I'd suggest booting your Mac from the original CD/DVD and run Disk Utility to verify your disk.

Done that. No joy.
Can't boot from disc, won't mount.
