Need to know the following information before we can help you:

1. What exact Mac model do you have?

2. What exact Mac OS are you running?

3. Is it Apple'sMail program, or another EMail client?

4. Have you ever done any disk cleanup, maintenance. and/or repairs from a software perspective? You can actually do a fair amount of disk cleanup yourself (including the permanent removal of deleted EMails), and there are also some excellent products available that can help you with those tasks.

5. Are you making backups to an external device? If you are, what software do you use for that?

Hi.
Its a 10.12.4 sierra mac book pro
Its a talk talk mail acc gets sent to my apple Mail? I think its the little stamp on my machine
always delete my cache and always delete mail junk trash etc no back up, I have an I-Mac that can't be updated
too old but works fine... so I have copies on that and it doesn't happen on that. It seems to be on the trash/junk mail
which I delete anyway, but to me its a mystery.

No back ups is not good. Also, when you delete an EMail via Apple's Mail program (nor any other EMail client, for that matter), it does not get permanently removed from the EMail database maintained by the program. I use Outlook 2016, and there is a simple keyboard combination that I use to have deleted EMails permanently removed.

There are WAY more cleaning tasks that one needs to do to keep their machines in tip top shape. Again, you can do more on your own, and also consider using the excellent freeware program Onyx:

along with a commercial program like TechToolPro:

Additionally, Sierra is actually at version 10.12.5. You can get the OS 10.12.5 Combo Updater from here:
