office 2004 help

Hi,
i installed office about a week ago, and tried to print out a document in powerpoint. When i tried to print in Squashed all the text so it was unreadable but pictures remained fine. i have looked through all settings and toolbars and cannot resolve this problem.
even in the print preview it squashed the text up.
I have printed in word and excel and it all worked fine.
