When I type in credit card number it is often rejected and keeps telling me to use numbers. I am doing this. Caps lock is OK and not shifted. What is the problem, please?

Select the Column or Range of Cells you want to enter the Credit Card details in.
In the Inspector select the Cells Panel (the one with 42 in a box)
Change from Automatic to Text
