Updated my iPhone 13 to iOS 17.5.1 two days ago and now I have no service. Tried different SIM cards and followed all online instructions and still nothing. My mobile provider says it's not a SIM issue, and there are no Apple Stores nearby.

Here are several steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the "No Service" issue:

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. Restart Your iPhone:
    • Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve connectivity issues.
    • Press and hold the side button and either volume button until the power off slider appears. Drag the slider to turn off your iPhone. Wait a few seconds, then press and hold the side button again until the Apple logo appears.
  2. Check for Carrier Settings Update:
    • Carrier settings updates can resolve connectivity issues.
    • Go to Settings > General > About. If there's an update available, you should see a prompt to update your carrier settings.
  3. Toggle Airplane Mode:
    • Turning Airplane Mode on and off can reset your network settings.
    • Swipe down from the top-right corner of the screen to open Control Center, tap the Airplane Mode icon to turn it on, wait a few seconds, and then tap it again to turn it off.
  4. Reset Network Settings:
    • This will reset all network settings, including Wi-Fi passwords and VPN settings.
    • Go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Enter your passcode if prompted, and confirm the reset.
  5. Reinsert the SIM Card:
    • Remove the SIM card from your iPhone, wait a few seconds, and then reinsert it. Ensure the SIM card is properly seated in the tray.
  6. Check Cellular Settings:
    • Ensure that cellular data is turned on.
    • Go to Settings > Cellular and make sure that Cellular Data is enabled.
  7. Update iOS:
    • Ensure your iPhone is running the latest version of iOS.
    • Go to Settings > General > Software Update to check for any new updates.
  8. Contact Your Carrier:
    • Verify with your carrier that your account is active and that there are no service outages in your area. Sometimes, they can push updates or provide additional troubleshooting steps.

Advanced Steps

  1. Restore iPhone via iTunes or Finder:
    • Back up your iPhone using iCloud or iTunes/Finder on a computer.
    • Restore your iPhone to factory settings and set it up as new. This can sometimes resolve persistent software issues.
    • Connect your iPhone to your computer, open iTunes or Finder, select your device, and choose Restore iPhone.
