A new version of TechTooll Pro, V9.0.1, came out the other day. For myself, I needed to pay an upgrade fee of $39.95. A new version costs $99.95. I have already downloaded and installed it on both of my Macs, and I will shortly be going through my weekly disk cleanup/maintenance/repair and backup processes. I'll report on this new version when I am done.
Also, just to let folks know, there are times when either Micromat offers TechTool Pro (full version) for $39.95, or I have also seen it as part of a bundle.
I also suspect that an upgrade will be needed when OS 10.12, Sierra, arrives this fall, and it should be free. Then again, with Apple significantly changing the "Finder file system" early next year in Sierra, not sure how much of a big deal that is for products such as Onyx, TechTool Pro, Disk Warrior, Drive Genius, etc.
