The first line in a new font on my Catalina iMac has large, bold text. Then the second line is different.
This is a new note:

This is the second line.

This has been happening for a couple of weeks now. Googling, I see that there used to be a way to set default font from within notes, by selecting Format/Fonts/Set Default Fonts, but that option is missing. I looked in Applications/Notes.app/en.lprog for a clist, but didn't find one.

How do I set my default font for Notes in Catalina?

Hello,

Catalina changed the first line in Notes to be a header in bold. I can't find any way to set font defaults either, but will let you know if I come across any.

Thanks.

Lots of times, I write a message on Notes to cut and paste onto a Web conversation, wanting to not have formatting (except for new lines).

Found the answer. There's a setting to start messages with Title, Heading, or Body. I want Body. The old setting to set the default font appears to be gone.
