Need to reinstall leopard to fix broken mac, lost disc, need help making a new one.

My old iMac seems to have broken down,and I need to reinstall leopard with the "restart old hold C" method, but I don't have the disc, so I'm going to try downloading the leopard install dvd files, and burn them to a dual layer dvd+r. Will this work? If not, can someone please help me out?

Not if it's not the full Retail Version or the version for your model of Mac. Far better tracking down the correct DVDs.
