Need help with iSight camera and iSight mic...

I have a brand new macbook that i just recieved in May of this year. Recently I'm starting to have a problem. The iSight camera and the microphone will work seperately but will not work together. For example if i use Photo Booth or iMovie to record videos, the video works but there is no audio except for a hissing white noise like sound. But the microphone is as loud as it can go and it works perfectly fine on GarageBand and there seems to be no problem if I use the microphine by itself. Please help!!

When you run your camera for video, open your System preferences and check out the Sound preference there. See what shows for output and input.
