mywebspace removal help

Help! I have an iMac running 10.6.4 and using FireFox as my browser. I inadvertently downloaded some spyware "mywebsearch" that has taken over my browser. Anytime I don't use www. prior to typing a website I'm directed to mywebspace search engine. Any advice out there?
