My laptop locked up, wants a password

Hi All,
This is my work computer and is protected by van "something" .

Anyway to get it to reset to defaults?

Doesn't control open apple something let you escape?


Can you tell I am a desparte PC girl?

Any help would be appreciated.

Vangard is what is locking the computer

I looked on my computer, it's called Vangaurd and is made by vantage Learning company.


AHHH, I need my information for training for 25 people on Thurday!

Do you work in a school...VANguard is used to limit access of students on Mac computers during use with testing and assessment services over the Internet. Has it always been installed? Do you have a password? Is this Mac new to you?

Yes I work as a Literacy Coach and I was able to shut down the machine and get it to unlock using open apple, control and shutting off power at the same time.

Eventually I stumbled inot shutting the machine down.
