My Internet won't load on my Mac

I have a Mac book pro. I have full bars on my wi-fi. When I try to log on the Internet, the page fails to load and says server not found.

The frustrating part is, I also have an IPad, and it is working fine. I am on it right now. Also when I took my Mac to my friends house it logged on no problem.

The system version is Mac OS X 10.5.8

I am not very good with computers as I'm sure you could have guessed.

Can someone out please help me?

Have you tried restarting it?That usually helps. Or you can also try turn airport on and off.

Could be it is connecting to the network, but not the Internet. I would try restarting as samurai mentioned. If that works, it was probably using the same IP address as another device. Check System Preferences > Network and see if it is set for DHCP or manual address.
