My G5 won't print certain applications

My G5 won't print certain applications. I experience this problem primarily with the internet and Word.
When printing, the progress bar will be displayed for about a second saying the process is complete, but the item is never actually sent to the printer.
If I take an image of the screen I wanted to print or if I save my Word document as a text document, I am able to print just fine.
Please let me know if you've got any ideas.
