I run Windows on Bootcamp solely for gaming reasons. I've never had a problem with it thus far, but a game I really want is coming out next month on PC and XBox 360. Since I'm not interested in plunking down $300 for a 360, I figured I'd do the following:
1. Hook the Mac up to the HDTV using a mini-DVI to HDMI cable.
2. Run Windows on the Mac using Bootcamp.
3. Voila, the game is running on Windows on my TV. I'd also use the XBox 360 controller for Windows to play the game, since keyboard gaming on an action game is hateful to me.
Now, is there any reason this wouldn't work? Would I have to use some special drivers or whatever to get the TV connection to run in Windows? I wouldn't imagine so, since Windows runs fine using the regular MacBook screen, but....you never know with Windows.
I know this is a stupid question, but I'm fairly new to MacBooking.
