Mouse not scrolling

Wireless mouse....Scrolls fine with Safari and Firefox but has suddenly stopped the ability to scroll on Mail...Cant find any obvious setting on System preferences or Mac Mail to restore it....Any suggestions

-Which version of OS X?
-Which model Mac?
-Which brand/model is the mouse?
-Is Mail the only app the scrolling doesn't work in?
-Have your tried restarting the Mac?
-Do you have a wired USB mouse you can use for testing?
