Most Reliable MAC cleaner software

Rather than relying upon the vagaries of Google, I wonder if other members can RECOMMEND particularly good and reliable MAC cleaning software (not necessarly free, either)

-Which version of OS X/macOS?
-What kind of cleaning are you trying to perform?

As always, it is strongly recommended to have a current Time Machine or other backup of your data.

Honestly, I personally don't use any of the third-party cleaning applications. You can manually clean out files in your User folder. For applications that you want to remove, I would recommend FreeMacSoft - AppCleaner, as it will identify and remove all of the hidden/related files for applications in one fell swoop.

I personally use CCleaner for Mac. Never had a problem with it. You can also set it to not remove cookies you want to keep. https://www.ccleaner.com/ccleaner-mac
