Despite clearing the missed call list and voicemails, the missed call notification remains. My iPhone 15 Pro is running the latest iOS version. How can I resolve this issue without disabling badge notifications?

If you're experiencing a persistent missed call notification on your iPhone 15 Pro even after clearing the missed call list and voicemails, here are some steps you can take to resolve the issue without disabling badge notifications:

1. Restart Your iPhone

Sometimes a simple restart can clear out any glitches.

  • Restart: Press and hold the side button and either volume button until the slider appears. Drag the slider to turn off your iPhone. After it turns off, press and hold the side button again until the Apple logo appears.

2. Toggle Airplane Mode

Turning Airplane Mode on and off can reset your network settings and clear the notification.

  • Toggle Airplane Mode: Go to Settings > Airplane Mode and turn it on. Wait a few seconds, then turn it off again.

3. Refresh the Phone App

Force quitting and reopening the Phone app can sometimes help.

  • Force Quit Phone App: Swipe up from the bottom of the screen (or double-click the Home button on older models) to open the app switcher. Find the Phone app and swipe it up to close it.
  • Reopen Phone App: Open the Phone app again to see if the notification has cleared.

4. Check for Carrier Settings Update

Make sure your carrier settings are up to date.

  • Update Carrier Settings: Go to Settings > General > About. If there is an update available, a prompt will appear to update your carrier settings.

5. Reset Network Settings

Resetting network settings can clear out any network-related glitches that might be causing the notification to persist.

  • Reset Network Settings: Go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. This will reset Wi-Fi networks and passwords, cellular settings, and VPN/APN settings.

6. Check for Any Hidden Voicemails

Sometimes, a voicemail might not be visible but still be causing the notification.

  • Dial Voicemail: Call your voicemail and listen to any new or saved messages, then delete them.

7. Use a Different Device

If you have another device linked to your iCloud account, like an iPad or another iPhone, check the Phone app there. Sometimes notifications can sync across devices and clearing it on one device can resolve the issue on another.

8. Reset All Settings

If the above steps don’t work, you can reset all settings. This won't delete your data but will reset system settings like Wi-Fi passwords and wallpapers.

  • Reset All Settings: Go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings.
Let me know if it works.
