Message on screen that files were tranfered of...

I have a neighbor that went into the hospital for 3 weeks. When she returned home she says there was a message on her screen that a person had transferred 5 files off of the MacBook. How can I tell what was transferred?

Possibly and this is a long shot open relevant apps such as pages etc and go to recent in there menu.

I haven't ever seen a dialog box that stated a user had transferred a certain number of files.

-Which version of OS X?
-Do you happen to have a screenshot of the dialog box?
-Did it say who the user was?
-Was Safari or another browser open at the time?
