Mailboxes Disappeared and replaced by an unknown account

hi- my mailboxes in Mac mail have disappeared. A pop up window is asking for my password to an email account that doesnot belong to me.

Any suggestions on what to do? I think I've been hacked.

Hi and welcome,

Firstly I would start by rebuilding the mailbox in question, then get in touch with the mail server you use and inform them, as I feel could be there issue.

Not sure about your Mac being hacked , but quite possible your email account.
