Mail password fault after HS install

Installed latest HS and updates to 10.13.3 and the primary mail password is not accepted. The two secondary addresses and passwords work as normal. All works fine on Ipad and Gmail so fault is definitely HS. Any help please?

Hello,

-Who is the email provider for the account that is not working?
-You are using the Apple Mail app I assume?
-Does the account receive and not send, or both?

Hello again!
I am using the Apple mail as supplied with the Mac. Mail is sending but not receiving. Thanks, Peter

As Cory asked, who is your ISP (Internet Service Provider)? Also, you might need to recheck the Account settings in Mail. That is where you would indicate your user name and password, the incoming and outgoing servers, etc.

ISP is Fleur Telecom but as mail works fine on Ipad and Gmail nad mobile the problem is definitely a fault with HS. I've checked the password on Mac mail against Ipad and it is correct. (No reason for it not to be!) Thanks, Peter
