The title says it all : when ever I have my Crucial X8 plugged in my thunderbolt 3 port… the mac just won’t boot. In verbose mode, I have no text… it doesn’t boot either with bootcamp.

It’s just stuck

When I unplug the SSD the boot resume as normal… Why ?

My USB3 HDD work fine.

Thanks a lot for your help :)

(Mac : 2019 I7 mac mini with the latest catalina)

Hello and welcome.

I assume you mean a Mac mini (2018) - Macmini8,1? Not sure why that would happen.

-After the Mac mini is booted, can you connect the Crucial X8 and does it mount?
-Does it have macOS installed on it?
