My parents have passed away and we found a MacintoshPlus 1 Mb in the attic. My dad tracked his finances on his Macs through the years. I don't want to put this into recycling until I know there is no personal info on it. Did these have a hard drive that stored anything? It starts up (eventually), but the screen goes black, so I wasn't able to see what is on it. Any help/hints about what to do so I can recycle this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Nancy

Wow, what a gem! If this is your machine:

http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/mac_classic/specs/mac_plus.html

it does not have an internal drive. Everything at that time ran off of disks. But I am unsure if anything is/was kept in memory, and possibly connected with the logic/mother board.

Also, this link:

shows various Apple/Macintosh classic models, and how to take each of them apart.
