hello there,

Im actually new in macs thing. however, recently I got 2 MacBooks.
I just needed to "format" them then install the OSX Snow Leopard again.
I inserted the disk into the first Mac while holding C and it booted perfectly, and I did reinstalling OSX successfully.

but when it comes to the other MacBook, at the phase while I've to hold down the C, this message appears:
"you need to restart your computer, hold down the power button until it turns off then turn on again"

I did that, an my MacBook gets stuck at this screen until I press "command+options+p+r", so it boots normally.

I really need to access the OSX DVD to do the format
anyone could help?

Sounds like the DVD comes from a different model?

Something is very wrong is you have to reset the PRAM all the time. Maybe you should give it the Triple set, hold it down until it's done it 3 times, the final one will do additional resets.

If the DVD won't work you could try plugging them together with FireWire and starting up in Target Disk Mode.
