So when using MacOS my MacBook instantly shuts down. For example i just open Final Cut Pro and it instantly turns off. I was later filling a form in Google Chrome and it instanlty shut down in the middle of that process too. Battery at 50%

I tried using windows bootcamp and for the first 20 minutes it seems okay and no shutdowns

Any idea/fix/recommendation

Greatly appreciated

Thanks in advance

I have also tried resetting the SMC as well as reinstalling mac os here is a of what happens when opening something like Final Cut Pro or Chrome

We need to know some things before trying to offer any solutions:

1. What exact MacBook model do you have?

2. What exact Mac OS are you using?

3. Have you ever done any disk cleanup/maintenance/repairs?

4. This is critical: are you making any backups to an external device?

5. Besides Google Chrome, what third party software do you have? Along with that, do you have MacKeeper and/or CleanMyMac? If you do, get rid of them IMMEDIATELY! They do more harm than good.

6. Is the original battery still inside your MacBook?

7. How did you exactly re-install the Mac OS? Did you just "overwrite" what was there already?

Answers to those questions will be very helpful. There are a couple of things you can do that could be helpful:

1. Download, install, and run the excellent, free anti-malware program Malwarebytes. You can get it form here:

https://www.malwarebytes.com/mac/

2. Download, install, and run the excellent freeware program Coconut Battery. This will let you know the "health" of your battery. You can get it from here:

http://www.coconut-flavour.com/coconutbattery/

Note that the version you need depends on what Mac OS you are using. The various versions are shown under the heading "Download 3.5.2 (18.3 MB) | for macOS Sierra and OS X El Capitan/Yosemite".

OK, given that you don't need a physical backup anywhere, then 1) boot to the Recovery HD partition, 2) use Disk Utility there to Erase and Format your internal drive (maybe have the Erase process do 3 or more passes), 3) do a fresh, clean, "virgin" installation of OS 10.12.3, 4) reboot your Mac (most likely you'll need to go through a "virgin" setup), and 5) do a clean, "virgin" installation of Google Chrome and Final Cut Pro (if that's all you need).

Hi all that was done and it still crashes on all Mac OS X versions. The only time it does stay on all the time and does not shut down randomly is when in safe mode

So, when you say "all Mac OS X versions", that sounds like it was happening before Sierra, is that correct?

If that's the case, then it would seem there is a hardware issue. With your machine being a 2013 model, it is doubtful that it is the internal SSD drive (although i have read about some instances where such drives have gone bad "prematurely" on some Mac laptops). Also, I did a google search of "Issues with MacBook Pro Late 2013 Retina", and this one "hit" came up:

https://www.apple.com/support/macbookpro-videoissues/

In fact, here are all the results from that search:
