Macbook 15" Screen Freeze + Audio Alert!!

Hey I just bought this Macbook pro 15" late 2011 model. I updated it with 16gb of ram and left the 500gb hd in there. Had some issues after wiping the hd by using the install dvd. Thinking that it was all good I installed my apps. Now after 10 min of use (everytime) the display glitches and shows me rows of pixels??? See attached. Also a loud, very loud, sound alerts me that im screwed and to force shutoff my computer everytime. Help?

Oh dear, you put the RAM in yourself?

Take in into an Apple Service Centre near you. Hope you have extended Apple Care.
