Mac WMV to AVI Program ?

I wonder if someone here can help me. I'm looking for a program for the Mac that will let me convert wmv files to avi. I have ffmpegX but it doesn't seem to want to cooperate. Is a, hopefully, free program out there that will do this ? Thanks.
