Mac Pro DvD player is disconnected

Hi, I have a Mac Book Pro. The DVD player inside of it is disconnected. A tiny plastic wire that snaps into place is loose. I can snap in place, but the plastic on the other end is disconnected from the DVD player. How do I fix this?

-Which exact model of MacBook Pro?

Without being able to see the actual cable and connectors, I would strongly suggest that you visit and Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider to have it checked out. You can do further damage trying to reconnect the cabling inside. It may be as simple as replacing the cable, but there could be other things involved.
