Mac mail app

I am no longer able to use mail. It does not recognise my password and I cannot find out how to change it.

Hello,
  • What version of OS X/macOS?
  • How many email accounts?
  • Is the email account setup in  > System Preferences... > Internet Accounts?

Thanks for responding. Ventura 13.2.1
3 accounts - Apple mail (not working)
BT mail - to get round the problem
Apple iCloud
The 2 Apple accounts were set up on internet accounts.
I have removed Apple mail to try to solve the problem.
