Mac hacked?

Hi everybody. I need some serious help finding out whether someone's been accessing my computer. Recently programs have been shutting down on their own and other unexpected things have been happening on my computer that haven't happened before. I'm also almost completely sure that my Facebook account has been hacked since there have been friends requests sent from my account to many people I don't know. I've upped all the security settings to the max and changed my password several times, with no avail. There's been some serious drama happening in my life lately and the person most likely hijacking my mac is very good with computers and electronics.

I've been searching directions online but none of them have proved effective as of yet. I haven't found any odd programs on my computer possibly used for spying. There's no "remote desktop" icon in the top right hand corner. In the sharing settings, everything is prohibited from screen sharing to remote connection. In the iCloud settings, "back to my Mac" is turned off. I've also installed F-Secure but it hasn't found any viruses or any dangerous programs. However, are there some programs that the antivirus program might not be able to detect?

The only possible proof I've found is from the console. While searching for "remote" it came up with some lines stating "Remote Desktop Connection". Is this the proof I've been looking for?? If I've been the only one using my computer, how is it possible for this sort of line to come up?

So, who's ready to play Sherlock Holmes with me? Sorry for my English, it's not my native language.

Hello and welcome.

It sounds as if you have taken all the necessary precautions to prevent someone being able to control your computer.

The applications shutting down on their own could be caused by many things. Which apps, and how often/when are they quitting?

We can't really help with your Facebook account. If you suspect that it has been hacked, definitely contact Facebook. Here is a link to their Security suggestions.

F-Secure isn't really needed above the steps you have taken, and it probably will not find any viruses, as there really aren't any for Macs.

Feel free to copy and paste the Console entries that reference Apple Remote Desktop...they are probably just status messages, not actual entry attempts into your Mac.

We'll see if we can help you out,

C
