Lost File

I was working on a Word document on my Macbook Air a few weeks ago that, for some reason did not get saved. If I know the exact date I worked on the file, is there any way I can find a list of all the files on my computer that I worked on that dat? Including temporary Word backup files? Please let me know, as it was an important file.

Hi

Don't know if I'm missing the point but if you know the date you should be able to search by date.

You could also search for "AutoRecovery" or any terms (the more unique the better) in your document that you remember.

I tried to search by date, but cannot find any record of the file. Any ideas?

HI,

If you have TM continually connected you may just be lucky and will find it in a backup, run through all the backups that were done on that date around the time you were working on this file.
