I shut my macbook down last night and when I rebooted this morning all my mail from the last 3 years was gone and it won't load new mail, my safari history was wiped out, and my stickies were set back three years. I did a repair permissions and restarted and am still having these issues. Any help out there?

That is a very strange issue. Do you happen to have more than one user account on the Mac? If so, it may have logged into the older account. Also, do you have a Time Machine backup?

I am now officially embarrassed. I have been working on mac since 1989 and today is the first time I forgot to log out and log back in to my own computer. I thank you for the cyber kick in the pants and for answering me with a 'straight face.' Peace, issue resolved.
