Hello,
I have an automator action that lets me pick a bunch of folders that I wish to Compress. Problem is it makes one giant .zip file of all the folders. Is there a way to loop this, so that it does one folder and places the .zip where I want them to go, but do them one at a time, so each folder gets one .zip file?

My screenshot shows the Folder I am choosing, that has about 10 separate folders inside that I wish to make 1 - .zip of each. But as you can see, the results are 1 archive.zip. Even if I pick all the folders inside this one, as separate folders, it still makes one .zip file.

any help is greatly appreciated!
thanks

Hello Kaveman,

I tried the loop as you have kindly shown, but I am still getting one archive.zip, for all of them .
I need it to take each folder that is selected-archive it and then loop to the next folder. so each folder gets it;s own .zip?
Any more thoughts?? thanks!!!!

You can't do that!

All you can do is select the first Folder, then Select the next and so forth.

the script I just posted works, You just select 1 folder at a time.

If you want anything else you will have to use AppleScript.
