I seem to have an unusual HDMI problem on hand. I have an LG TV that has 3 HDMI ports. I want to use one of the ports for my Cable TV HD Box (HDMI 1) and the other for my MacBook Pro (HDMI 2).
Problem is my TV cannot detect my MacBook Pro when my Cable TV HD Box is plugged into the TV. In order for my TV to detect my MacBook Pro, I need to unplug the Cable TV HD Box's HDMI cable from my TV. So, technically, my TV is really just working on 1 HDMI port.
I have tried plugging and replugging my HD Box and MacBook Pro into different ports and the same problem arises. My TV can only detect my Mac when the HD Box is unplugged from the TV.
Anyone else with this problem, or am I missing something?
